Why is oxygen so important?
On a daily basis, an average adult breathes in nearly 550 liters of oxygen, a vital element as 90% of our energy comes from it, while food and water make up the rest. The brain, though only 2% of body weight, uses 25% of inhaled oxygen. Oxygen is crucial for the energy cycle that fuels life. Insufficient oxygen in body tissues, known as hypoxia, can lead to severe health issues if not addressed promptly. A hyperbaric chamber is an excellent solution for rectifying tissue hypoxia effectively.
What do you feel inside a hyperbaric chamber?
During pressurization within the chamber, you may feel pressure changes in your ears, similar to a plane ascent. To alleviate this sensation, yawning, swallowing, or gently 'blowing the nose' can help equalize ear pressure. Beyond this, there are no unusual sensations.
How does being inside a pressurized chamber give us more oxygen?
When inside a chamber pressurized to 1.3 or 1.5 times normal air pressure, it may feel similar, but breathing pure oxygen in such conditions increases oxygen intake by 7-8 times. According to Henry's Law, the amount of gas that dissolves in a liquid is proportional to its partial pressure. This means the pressurized oxygen permeates all body fluids, significantly boosting tissue oxygen levels and scientifically proven to enhance healing.
What improvements can I expect to see?
This is a complex question with many variables. Generally, most users report improvements in life quality, although results can vary. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life for all users, although individual experiences may differ.
When will I know how many sessions of hbot are enough?
Determining the right number of HBOT sessions is subjective and based on personal progress. Clinical studies suggest around 15 sessions for acute injuries and 40 for chronic conditions. If improvements are noticed, continue sessions. As improvements persist, more sessions may be beneficial. Ultimately, you're the best judge of the number needed.
