Why is oxygen so important?
Oxygen is a vital component of our daily existence, as the average adult consumes a significant 550 liters daily, which accounts for 90% of our energy needs. It is crucial for the energy cycle that maintains life. Our brain, though only 2% of our body weight, utilizes a remarkable 25% of our oxygen intake. Insufficient oxygen in body tissues can lead to ailments, including infections and tissue damage. To promptly address tissue hypoxia, a hyperbaric chamber is an excellent solution.
What do you feel inside a hyperbaric chamber?
During pressurization in the hyperbaric chamber, your ears might experience changes in pressure, causing a mild discomfort. To alleviate this sensation of fullness, simple actions like yawning, swallowing, or gently blowing your nose can help equalize the pressure. Apart from the ear pressure adjustment, there are no unusual sensations.
How does being inside a pressurized chamber give us more oxygen?
Inside a chamber pressurized to 1.3 or 1.5 times the normal air pressure, you may not feel different, but breathing pure oxygen in this environment delivers 7-8 times the regular oxygen amount. According to Henry's Law, the gas dissolves in liquids proportional to its partial pressure, allowing pressurized oxygen to permeate all body fluids. This increased oxygen level significantly enhances tissue oxygenation, which has been scientifically validated to stimulate healing and recovery processes.
What improvements can I expect to see?
While individual results vary, generally, users experience a notable enhancement in life quality after using the hyperbaric chamber. Improvements are personal and unique, but it is uncommon not to observe positive changes.
When will I know how many sessions of HBOT are enough?
Determining the right number of HBOT sessions is personal. A study reveals that for acute injuries around 15 sessions are needed, while chronic conditions may require up to 40 sessions. Continue if improvements are observed after the initial sessions, as you are the best judge of your progress, rather than a doctor.
